How many Fire Belly toads and white/ green tree frogs in a 40g?

I have a 40 gallon terrarium 36"L 18"W 16"H and was wondering how many fire bellies and whites tree frogs you could comfortably fit int there. Would cubans and dumpy tree’s also work (replacing the whites)? Lastly, is this tall enough for a tree frog, 16"H? I currently have 2 FBT in a 10g that will transfer to the 40g.

sorry its not the rite type of tank for tree frogs but you can get 6 more FBT to put in the tank with you 2 or you can put FBNs in there with the toads (and if you dont know firebelly newts eat the same thing the toads do) hope this helps

Whites tree frog with white lip tree frog?

i got a whites tree frog a few days back, a pretty large one, and it was living in the same tank with a white lip tree frog. they are around the same size. can i put a white lip tree frog with the whites? any problems? size isnt a prblem for me

I don’t recommend it.

I don’t like mixing species. Causes problems.

If my dog eats a white tree frog will he get sick?

My dog (Friendly Ptbull) likes to try to play with these frogs and lizards, if he gets a hold of a White Tree Frog will he get sick?

Frogs, toads, and salamanders have a substance on their skin that will cause a dog to foam at the mouth. Dogs usually figure out that substance is less than desirable, and spit the frog or toad out fairly quickly. The substance on a tree frog’s skin is quite a bit stronger than that on other frogs, since they need a sticky coating to help them climb. When I was a kid, I learned the hard way that you should always wash your hands immediately after handling tree frogs. Rub your eyes with that stuff on your fingers and you will wish you hadn’t. It burns. I’m not a vet, nor am I a wildlife biologist. But I was once a little boy who loved to catch frogs and snakes and every other creepy-crawly thing under the sun, and my experience tells me yes, a dog will probably get sick if it swallows a tree frog. How sick? I don’t know, but it can’t be good for him. But if he spits it out, like most dogs do, he’ll foam at the mouth for ten or fifteen minutes, eat some grass, and carry on like nothing ever happened.

White’s tree frog 10 gal tank setup

This is my white’s tree frog ten gallon tank. There isn’t a frog in there yet but soon. I will upload more bids of this tank with the frog in it. I will probably rearrange the tank around too. Rate, comment, sub.

Whites Tree Frog Setup

Here is the new set up finally! Aussie loves hanging out on the vines at night while Sheila can be found in the water or inside the tree most of the time. I recently found out that both frogs are actually Indonesian Whites and not Australian Whites tree frogs, lol and No I’m not going to change their names hahaha. I’ve been thinking about weather or not to breed them…. I need to do a little more research. If any of you know anything about breeding Whites, let me know! Thanks all for watching.

Crested Gecko and White’s Tree Frog?

I have a pet Eyelash Crested Gecko living in a ten gallon tank and was just wondering that if I get a White Tree Frog and house them together, would it be harmful to either one? Seeing as they eat the same food and both are arborial. Would it be possible to house them together if I just got a bigger tank? Thanks for the help.

I would say you could mix Crested Geckos with a lot of species, but not a Dumpy Tree Frog, given how the Tree Frog likes to eat and eat and eat and to shove things into its mouth in general. Provided with a large enough tank, there should be minimal risk, but you run a risk of water contamination or one animal out competing the other, almost a certainty given they don’t come from the same habitat and are targeting the one and only prey item. I also found this link: http://www.ciliatus.com/content/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=42&Itemid=295. I think it’d be good to look @ that. I did a little research to make sure my girl doesn’t get it and found it’s mainly contracted from amphibians. The parasite has no effect on them, but harms crested geckos in particular for no apparent reason.
